Styles

Our scarves are a celebration of diverse handwoven artistry—from the subtle elegance of Solids and Checks to the detailed work of Jaali and Hand Block designs. Styles like Bordered and Laced carry on a timeless tradition, while modern patterns such as Ikkat, Ombre, Prints, and Hand-painted designs add a contemporary flair to this classic accessory.

1. Weave-based

Solids

For centuries, solids are the epitome of subtle elegance. Without the distraction of patterns, the beauty is entirely in the richness of the weave, the depth of the dye, and the fabric’s inherent sheen. These items become classic wardrobe staples, adaptable enough for everyday elegance while remaining refined enough for exceptional events.

Checks

Check scarves are a tribute to precision and pattern discipline. Each square is the result of painstaking warp and weft alignment, combining geometry and beauty. Checks have traditionally represented balance – a harmonious combination of contrasts, colors, and textures.

Reversibles

Each side tells a unique story, sometimes mirroring, sometimes contrasting, but always equally exquisite. Achieving such precision requires tremendous expertise, as both sides must be completed flawlessly and without compromise. This dual beauty embodies the craft ethos: beauty should last as long on the inside as it does on the outside.

Towel

The towel weave is prized for its very soft, textured feel, which is achieved by a specific looped weaving process that retains warmth while staying breathable. It is frequently used in sumptuous wraps and blankets because of its tactile softness, making it as inviting to touch as it is attractive to look at.

2. Embroidered

Jaamavar

Jamavar sscarves are a tribute to ageless artistry, with beautiful flower and paisley patterns covering the entire cloth with hand stitches. These shawls, known for their vibrant hues and intricate detailing, are frequently regarded heirlooms, passed down through generations as emblems of heritage and refinement.

Jaali

Jaali embroidery takes inspiration from the exquisite latticework found in Mughal architecture. These shawls have fine, openwork designs that provide a sensation of lightness and airiness while being warm and elegant. The embroidery’s perfection, transforms each Jaali shawl into a marvel of talent.

Palla

Palla scarves are defined by their highly embellished ends, which act as focal points in the pattern. While the shawl’s body is simple, the palla is filled with vibrant embroidery, stunning patterns, and occasionally clashing textures.

Bordered

Bordered scarves have embroidered concentrated along the borders, which creates an elegant frame that improves the fabric’s drape. The borders, that vary from thin, minimalist lines to vast, elaborate bands, define the shawl without overpowering its inherent elegance.

Laced

Laced shawls combine the warmth of fine wool with the delicacy of lacework, and they frequently have embroidered patterns with cutwork or threadwork edges. The end product is a lightweight, feminine garment that oozes class.

3. Dyed and Printed

Ikkat

Ikkat scarves are made using a traditional dyeing method where threads are patterned before weaving, creating subtle, blurred designs. Lightweight and versatile. Ikkat scarves offer a distinctive style while preserving the centuries-old artistry of this textile tradition.

Ombres

Ombre scarves feature a gradual transition of colors, achieved through careful dyeing techniques that create a smooth, blended effect. Ombre scarves add subtle depth and elegance while reflecting thoughtful design and artistry.

Prints

Printed scarves are crafted by applying carefully designed patterns onto woven fabric, combining traditional textile techniques with contemporary motifs. Each piece reflects attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship.

Hand Painted

d block-printed shawls are made by pressing carved wooden blocks onto fabric to create patterns, following a traditional technique. Each shawl shows slight variations due to the manual process, reflecting the artisan’s skill.
